Flood at Müllers

On Monday 10th August a burst pipe in the flat above our offices caused part of our building to flood, resulting in substantial internal damage particularly to our walls and ceiling.

We are incredibly thankful to God that, despite the extent of the flooding, our historical items stored in this part of the building - including George Müllers’ Bible and over 17,500 orphan records  - were completely undamaged. We are so grateful for His protection over these precious items. We are also hugely thankful for the kindness of many of our neighbours in the surrounding flats, who came to help us, lending towels, mops and a helping hand.

Due to the damage sustained, The George Müller Museum will  remain closed until further notice. It is likely that parts of the museum will need to remain closed for much longer while necessary repairs are carried out.

After being closed on Monday 10th August our offices have now reopened, although our team is still dealing with the aftermath and logistics of everything that needs to be done.

Please pray with us in the coming days and weeks for:

  • Wisdom and favour as we navigate the back-and-forth with insurance companies.

  • The  Lord to provide the volunteers, people, and resources needed to safely store, organise, and move our historical archive.

  • The Lord’s provision for all that is needed to repair The George Müller Museum and our offices.

  • Strength, energy and peace for our team as we deal with the practical impact of what has happened.

  • Our museum, that we would be able to reopen as soon as possible and continue to share the story of George Müller and God’s faithfulness.

  • Above all, that God would use this  situation for His glory and that His kingdom would continue to grow through all that we do.

Thank you so much for standing with us in prayer. We are incredibly grateful for your support and encouragement!
