Every Child, Every Year
Every child in Bristol hearing the Gospel, every year.

91,589
under 18s in Bristol*
(*2021 Census)
We believe that knowing Jesus brings peace, wholeness, healing, and life in all its fullness to any who desire it. This includes the young people of our city. We believe in helping them to meet Jesus can see a reversal in the mental health crisis, a reduction in knife-crime, and a revival in the Church.
We are calling on church leaders and congregations to work together so that by 2035, Bristol may have an annual rhythm of sharing good news with all 90,000 children. We believe this can be achieved in 2 ways…
1. Every church unpacking the Bible relevantly with every Key Stage, every week.
To see all churches in Bristol engaging weekly with toddlers, preschoolers, primary school pupils, and teenagers, helping them to better understand how following Jesus bring life in all it’s fullness.
2. Every pupil hearing the message of hope through the national curriculum.
To see Christians sharing about the hope they have - with gentleness and respect - through RE, history, PSHE, Collective worship and other school-based opportunities.

This year.

Local church follow up
November 2025
We are running a pilot project in 2025. Between 13-17 October, the Illuminate team will visit a different secondary school each day, delivering motivational, whole year group PSHE lessons. Through the use of music, creative media and performance, the team strive to connect with students on topics such as anti-bullying, self-worth, knives down, mental health, and living lives with a positive purpose.
All the young people will then be invited to attend a city-wide gig on the Friday evening, where we hope to gather over 600 young people who don’t normally connect with Church.
Not only will this be a great event but the good news of Jesus will be shared in an appropriate, accessible and relevant way. For any young people who want to explore more about the Christian faith we will be running united youth alpha courses in the city centre as well as in accessible locations across the city.

I feel led to support, how can I do so?

Please pray for the initiative, both the 2025 pilot mission, and the 10 year vision to see every child in Bristol hearing the Gospel every year. Better still, coordinate a group from your church to pray during the 2025 schools mission. Sign up to our mailing list to be kept in the loop with up-to-date prayer needs.

We need volunteers to help make the Friday night gig happen and to enable the city-wide Youth Alpha to happen well. There are variety of skill sets needed. Please use the button below to contact us if you would like to find out more.

Our heart isn’t for Bristol, it is for young people. Taking into account the under 18s of South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, sees that 91,589 figure soar! The closer you are to Bristol the more likely it is you can join in and ‘piggy-back’ off of this initiative. If you’d like to see how your church and community might be a part of this initiative, get in touch with one of our team.
