Müllers seeks to honour God, following in the footsteps of George Müller, by strengthening the Church to meet the needs of the vulnerable. We do this by freeing children from poverty, focusing people on Jesus, and fuelling leaders for mission and evangelism.

At the end of April, we welcomed two new members into our growing team: Diana as our new Operations Administrator and Lois as our new Missions Administrator. We are delighted to have them with us as they begin to settle into their new roles. We are also currently recruiting for a Grant Giving Officer to oversee and coordinate our grant-making and philanthropy. Working within our Global Partnerships team, this role will support the allocation and distribution of a six-figure budget, helping to resource our partners around the world who are bringing the hope and wholeness of Jesus to children and young people in need.

At the Chingeltei centre, 21 senior members generously contributed towards the celebration, helping provide small commemorative gifts and setting a tone of shared thanksgiving.
At the Bayankhoshuu centre, a parent of a homework club child kindly volunteered to repair a damaged corridor floor, supported by two students. This partner has shared that there’s increasing challenges for Community Development Workers (CDWs) and the communities they serve. In some regions, there is growing pressure and security concerns, with restrictions and persecution towards Christians, affecting gatherings and community activities. There are also wider challenges impacting daily life. Changing weather patterns have led to illness and financial strain for many families, while limited local employment opportunities are forcing some young people to migrate in search of work.

The mission of Africa’s Children of Purpose is to demonstrate that there is a personal God who hears and answers prayer by meeting the needs of orphaned and abandoned children throughout Africa.
-
Africa’s Children of Purpose shares encouraging updates from the Centre Elembo Orphanage in DRC. Recently, five children visited the Japanese Embassy, where they gave presentations and shared poetry. Their outstanding performance contributed to their school being awarded the construction of two new buildings.
During Lent, the children chose to share with families in need. By simplifying their own meals several times a week, they’ve been able to provide food for some of the poorest families in their neighbourhood. Africa’s Children of Purpose continues to equip children with practical skills for the future through farming projects. They recently received a gift of a sow and a boar to support and expand their efforts towards self-reliance.

The children at The Hiding Place are currently attending school in the afternoons due to building reconstruction, and while the change in routine was initially challenging, they have adapted well. One of the children ‘A’ has an upcoming annual cardiology appointment. The hope is that her heart condition has improved and surgery will not be needed. There is a continued need for new staff following recent transitions, and for God’s provision in ongoing financial challenges.
