February Partner Update

We believe that prayer has the power to bring about change, and as we continue the work of George Müller, we are continually reminded that 'God is faithful still and hears prayers still.' Thank you so much for your continued prayer support for us and our partners. By praying through the Partner Update, you are actively supporting the work of those sharing the Gospel and caring for the vulnerable around the world.

‘The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.’

Proverbs 18:10

1st - 3rd February: Müllers Bristol, UK

  • Müllers seeks to honour God, following in the footsteps of George Müller, by strengthening the Church to meet the needs of the vulnerable. We do this by freeing children from poverty, focusing people on Jesus, and fuelling leaders for mission and evangelism.

  • We’re excited to be in the process of hiring three new team members as we continue to grow. This expansion is part of our renewed investment in both our local and international work, all with the aim that every child might encounter the Gospel each year.

January marked the start of a new term for our Scripture, Theology and Culture Course students. This term, they are exploring Doctrine, Paul Amongst the Apostles, the Church in Today’s Culture, Kingdom Ministry, and Mission and Culture. Our Theology Team are also in the process of developing a new digital course set to launch in September 2026, designed to help people engage more deeply with theology.

4th - 6th February: EA Brazil

  • EA Brazil is a church-based mission dedicated to spreading the gospel and training Christian leaders. The organisation operates 17 small schools for impoverished children, drills wells to provide clean water, establishes market gardens to create income for the poor, and distributes goats to support families.

  • In December, some of the children at the Flores school enjoyed a special Christmas meal together. The EA Brazil team shared how meaningful this celebration was for the children - not only a joyful time of festivity, but also a chance to hear more about the true meaning of Christmas.

    • Rain, as the region is currently facing its worst drought in a decade.

    • The children and young people EA Brazil support to come to know Jesus and continue to grow in their relationship with Him.

Alongside his regular teaching responsibilities, Tom is currently developing a new course on the Apostolic Fathers, aiming to give students a deeper understanding of the earliest Christian writings after the New Testament. He is also revising the existing early Church history course to strengthen the curriculum and ensure it reflects the latest scholarship as well as the needs of the seminary’s diverse student body.

    • The students of the seminary that they might learn and grow in their faith as they apply what they’ve learned.

    • Tom to have wisdom and discernment as he continues to develop his new class on the Apostolic Fathers.

10th - 12th February: Five Talents, International

  • Five Talents partners with the Anglican Church and other Christian/Civil-society organisations across eastern and central Africa with the mission to transform lives through social and economic empowerment. Through the development of community-managed Savings Groups and tailored skills-training, communities that are marginalised and living in extreme poverty become enabled to build the skills to improve their livelihoods and secure stronger, more resilient futures for themselves, their families and each other.

  • Five Talents are giving thanks for the remarkable generosity of their supporters over the past year, which resulted in record income, and in turn, record grants distributed to their partners. They are also grateful for the opportunity to develop new partnerships in Malawi, Zambia, South Sudan, Kenya, the DRC and Uganda. In addition, they are celebrating a highly successful, all-partner workshop held in Nairobi in October, which brought together 50 participants from 13 countries for a time of learning, collaboration and shared vision.

    • Health and protection for all Five Talent’s partners as they visit community savings groups across eastern Africa, and for their staff team and for all the provisions they need to fulfil their mission in the months ahead.

    • The impacts of ongoing conflict and climate change that are still hitting the communities where Five Talents work.

13th - 15th February: Jubilee Society, Mongolia

  • Jubilee Society reaches out to the most vulnerable through preschools, homework clubs, youth clubs, seniors’ fellowships, and summer camps. Jubilee serves over 1,000 people aged from 3 to 80.

  • Jubilee Society are giving thanks that two teachers they work closely with - both of whom are studying alongside their teaching - have received provision for their living expenses for the school year. This support is almost equal to their course fees, easing a significant financial burden. They are also praising God for a new law passed by the Mongolian government that will increase teachers’ wages by 50%. Even though working conditions and pay remain poor for teachers this increase is a step in the right direction.

    • Teachers’ and doctors’ working conditions to be improved.

    • Wisdom and boldness for the Mongolian government, where a new type of coal is causing widespread pollution, casualties and health issues, and adding strain to the hospitals.

16th - 18th February: Kuntla Satyanarayana, India

  • Kuntla ministers and provides financial support to orphans and widows, sharing the Gospel through preaching and teaching in small villages.

  • A number of people whom Kuntla supports in fellowship continue to be strengthened in their faith, and the ministry of love and encouragement is growing, with many new opportunities to share the Gospel. At the beginning of January, Kuntla visited a small village fellowship around 100 km from his home. These small village fellowships remain a great source of encouragement for Kuntla’s ministry. Though the groups are few in number, their faith is deep and resilient.

    • The Lord’s protection, discernment and blessing on Kuntla and his ministry this year.

    • The young woman who receives support from Kuntla who is eight months pregnant. Please pray for a safe delivery for her and the baby, and that her faith will continue to grow.

Through compassionate care and support, they aim to show God’s love and provision in tangible ways, offering hope and a brighter future to those in need.

  • The children’s education at Centre Elembo in the DRC continues to progress well, thanks to the dedication of staff, interns and volunteer teachers who come to the home and invest in their learning. The volunteer teachers have recently proposed an exciting new initiative: organising intellectual development competitions between the children and students from neighbouring schools. The idea has been warmly received, and all the children are enthusiastic. Plans are now underway to launch these inter school competitions, which will help strengthen confidence, curiosity and academic growth.

    • Those who are or will be receiving vocational training, to be blessed and receive the skills, understanding and knowledge needed to thrive in life.

25th - 28th February: The Hiding Place, Albania

  • The Hiding Place is a residential centre for children without parents care. Through their ministry they offer children shelter, protection, care and love. They also give them the opportunity to live a happy childhood and be part of a big family. During the years that they live at the Hiding Place, the children hear God’s word and experience His love and care for them.

  • The Hiding Place team is giving thanks for the many ways they have seen God at work in the lives of the children. Over the Christmas break, several children who have since moved on to other homes were able to return for a visit. The team described the joy of seeing them again - how encouraging it was to witness their continued commitment to their education and the growth of their faith. They also shared that one of their greatest blessings is hearing the children pray not only for one another but also for those who support The Hiding Place. Reflecting on the past year, Dorjola, who leads The Hiding Place, shared these words:

“As we look back on the past year, our hearts are full of thanksgiving for what God has done. Watching the children grow, feel safe, and finally feel at home reminds us that every sacrifice is worthwhile. As Scripture says, “Even if a mother forgets her child, I, the Lord, will not forget you.” These words are lived out daily at the Hiding Place. We are grateful to be part of God’s plan and to witness His love at work in the lives of our children.”

    • The children at the home, that they would continue to feel safe, loved and at home. Pray that they would continue to grow spiritually this year and that the Lord’s protection would be over their physical health.

    • Wisdom and discernment for Dorjola as she leads the team and looks to recruit three new staff members by the end of April.

    • Provision of new staff members for The Hiding Place.
