Thought for July 2018

‘And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.’ (Philippians 1:9-11).

When Paul prays for the Philippian church, he prays for an increase of both love and of knowledge. A pure and blameless life of discerning God’s will is neither a matter of information alone, nor of emotion; rather, both heart and mind together need to be shaped by God, through His Spirit, that we might live fruitful lives to the glory of His Son. May you know the workings of our Almighty God and Heavenly Father in your hearts and minds, and may you be fruitful for him.

Yours in the Lord Jesus Christ,

The Müllers Prayer Team
