One Saturday afternoon, in the middle of November 1825, I took a walk with my friend Beta. On our return he told me that he regularly attended meetings at the home of a Christian. He said that they read the bible, sang, prayed and read a printed sermon. It was like I had found something that I had been searching for my whole life.
We went together in the evening. I apologised for coming, as I did not know the ways of believers and the fact they have joy in being with non -believers. The kind answer of the man there I shall never forget. He said: "Come as often as you please; house and heart are open to you."
