Christmas Through the Keyhole (CTTK) is an interactive, dramatic Christmas Trail hosted by churches for their local primary schools. Over the last few years CTTK has enabled churches in Bristol, London and South Wales to engage in a fun and credible way with their local primary schools. Our friends at the Redland Education Centre, have seen the potential for many more churches in Bristol and beyond to use CTTK as a way of building community and telling the story. One church member who organised CTTK in a London church said:
“...it enhanced our relationships with local schools...a brilliant way to allow children (many of whom had never stepped into a church before) to explore the Christmas story in a meaningful and memorable way”
And Mike Hill, Bishop of Bristol said:
“Christmas Through the Keyhole is a really imaginative way of getting children to engage with the story.”
Christmas Through the Keyhole (CTTK) has also just been published as a paperback resource book for churches. Within the book there is a link to an e-copy and all relevant downloadable resources to help churches run this interactive, dramatic re-telling of the Christmas story.
As someone who has already experienced Christmas Through the Keyhole, or someone who seeks to serve local schools, we would like to invite you to a CTTK training session:
Date: Wed 23rd September 2015
Venue: Etloe Evangelical Church, Cossins Road, Redland, Bristol BS
There will be a lively and engaging programme for the session which will be an opportunity to learn all about Christmas Through the Keyhole: how’s it’s run, who it’s for, how to connect with schools, resources, planning, gathering and training your team....and of course there will be some lovely refreshments. You will also be able to buy (at a small price) your copy of CTTK.
You can see a video clip of CTTK, photos and some testimonies from teachers here: http://www.redlandeducationcentre.org.uk/Trails/Christmas/christmas.html
We have found CTTK to be incredibly popular, with schools returning year after year and never enough space to host all those who want to come!
For more details or to book onto the training session, please contact Liz Ogborne by Thurs 17th Sept on 0117 9464695 or email email@example.com .
