George Müller cared for 10,000 orphaned children in Bristol during the Victorian era. He was a man of great faith, never making appeals for money, but simply praying to God for all that was needed. During his lifetime he received £1,500,000 in money and gifts in kind. At present day prices, this would be over £100m.
“I believe God has heard my prayers. He will make it manifest in His own good time that He has heard me. I have recorded my petitions that when God has answered them, His name will be glorified.” - George Müller
Müllers is supporting individuals and organisations in 52 countries, who are bringing prayer and care together to transform lives and shape communities. Through SKI and our Orphans of the World initiative we are partnering in the Gospel creating strong prayer and practical links as our global partners work among orphans and widows of the world.
George Müller was at the forefront of implementing radical new approaches to global missions. Prior to embarking on the task of caring for orphans in Bristol, George Müller was working to enable the spread of God's word around the world, and further emphasised this through his missionary travels in his later years. The charity maintains its international focus today.
