George Müller cared for 10,000 orphaned children in Bristol during the Victorian era. He was a man of great faith, never making appeals for money, but simply praying to God for all that was needed. During his lifetime he received £1,500,000 in money and gifts in kind. At present day prices, this would be over £100m.
“I believe God has heard my prayers. He will make it manifest in His own good time that He has heard me. I have recorded my petitions that when God has answered them, His name will be glorified.” - George Müller
Müllers is equipping and empowering local churches and organisations. Equip Events provide a forum to feel encouraged and network with others, learn and develop skills, and discover new ideas.
Below you'll see our upcoming event, regular goings on and sessions we've run in the past. Remember to book your place for our upcoming events as places are usually limited. We would love to hear from you if one of our past events is of interest to you too!
5th February 2020 - Spiritual Care for Older People
Training for everyone interested in spiritual care for older people
Debbie Thrower of The Bible Reading Fellowship, BRF, returns to Bristol to give more training on supporting older people and their carers. Building on ten years’ experience of Anna Chaplaincy for Older People, the day is for churches wanting to expand their ministry among those in later life, and is in conjunction with Müllers, Bristol.
Explore in more detail the spiritual and emotional issues facing individuals growing old in the twenty-first century and see what’s distinctive about the whole spirituality of ageing, especially for those caring for people living with dementia.
Discover ways to really get to know your area in the ‘Get to know your patch’ session, so that you can be more sensitive and responsive to people’s actual needs.
It may be you are someone exploring whether to become an Anna Chaplain yourself or whether volunteering to be Anna Friend, supporting such work, might just be for you. You’ll find much to inspire you to get involved and deepen your own spirituality as you age, too, along the way!
