Our next get together |
|
One of the most enjoyable aspects of partnership with Müller's is the opportunity to meet together with partnership church leaders and workers on partnership mornings. It's a chance to eat cakes, drink coffee, share lunch and fellowship around a relevant topic.
The last couple have focussed on faith (looking at aspects of prayer) and care (social action). The next one is on 15th April and we have Philip Jinadu leading our thinking on evangelism, with other input on what churches are doing locally. There will also be time to talk and pray together around that cake and coffee!
Knowing Philip, we are in for a fun talk with bite, as he opens up possibilities for the future.
If you want to kn0w more about what partnership has to offer local churches, do get in touch.
I am inspired by the work of George Muller. Several years ago struggling with my first mission trip (to Ghana) reading about his life and relationship with the Lord gave me the great push to go.
For approximately 18mths at my church I have been getting to knowing, visiting, praying, caring and supporting our senior members and visitors and I am chuffed that I have risen to the challenge to take the work to the next level. Though I have only just begun to lead with a team, I am blessed to have them despite the challenges.
The ministry was officially launched to our seniors on Sunday 11th April 2010. And now the work begins!!!! Lord, forever order my steps.
reading george mullers testimony and what he did for these kids was supernatural and very encouraging i am so blessed.
please pray that my wife to be and i will be accepted as foster carers to look after the many orphans in society that need christian foster carers who have values.
my favourite verse in the word is ''pure religion and undefiled is to care for the widows and the orphans in their distress.
this is gods heart !
gods richest blessings

Hi John & Alison
Great news! So long the Lord is leading you, you will be repairers of the breach. May you be like a well watered garden and may all who rest in you find peace, comfort and joy in the Lord.
I fostered for 10 years and became a Social Worker and a Counsellor. I struggled for a long while as a task centred carer, when people praised me I couldn't receive it. Things only chnaged for me when the Lord showed me that every time someone priases me and I rejected it then I was robbing Him of His glory. The last few years were the best and as I type this comment, my last foster child's son (almost 8) who I also helped to raise is visiting me.
Though I am no longer a practioner, all the skills I acquired, I now realise are useful in my work as a missionary to children. And the people that request my support by way of mentorship. I have been to Ghana, St. Lucia, this August I will be going to Romania taking orphaned children to camp in the mountains, in October I will be accommpanying 13 young people and 12 adults to serve the Dalits in India and by December return to Ghana to make plans to plant a ministry.
Be encouraged, whom God has called, He equips!
I pray the Lord open doors for you, favour you and that the thoughts of your supervising social workers and the panel will be as the Lord desires as they make decisions every step of your processing.
May you complete all application forms and complete your training with the excellence of Daniel and the wisdom of Solomon.
The Lord richly bless you.
