ARCHIVE YEARS

Filton Community Church, Filton, Bristol

Filton Community Church has continued to grow over the last year as we develop our commitment to build a church that is :

• God centered
• People empowering
• Purpose driven

We are grateful to God for the folks who have come to faith and those who have settled with us following periods of not being part of a local church.

Our ‘Revive Charity Shop’ has now been open for 3 years and continues to be a great means of meeting and befriending the local community, especially younger families and the elderly. So far, through the shop, we have been able to make  donations of £50,000. We have opportunities to pray for folks at the shop or to pass on prayer requests to our prayer group.

We have just opened a community drop-in called ‘Oasis@Eastville’ on Wednesday afternoons at Eastville where we offer a comfortable lounge, a listening ear and good quality reasonably priced second-hand clothes. The early signs are that families are appreciating this new facility. We are grateful to the Eastville Baptist Church for the use of their building.

‘Puppetastic’, our puppet team, was a great success at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway during last Christmas and we are really pleased to have been invited back this year!

Our Partnership with Müllers expresses our desire and commitment to make a difference in local communities.

In many ways we are aware of God’s favour and give Him the honour, praise and glory!
