ARCHIVE YEARS

Knowle Pentecostal Church, Knowle, Bristol

Over the last three years the Church has had a puppet show presented at Christmas and Easter by a Church in Keynsham. Following the Christmas one, Ray visited parents who had come along and as a result three mothers are now coming to Church regularly with their children.

The ‘Children’s Club’ has grown significantly because of this and Ray is visiting more families now and discussing parenting with them. We have been able to achieve much with the help of Müllers Our goal for getting children to come to Church from the ‘Jesus Club’ was realised some time ago. Our strategy to reach parents is to invite them to church outings and maybe a ‘Family Day’ in theChurch Hall later in the year. By visiting the families  and building relationships we believe we will achieve this goal. Our aim is to win families for Christ and make a difference in their lives.

Ray is taking assemblies and RE lessons every month in two schools. He is also listening to children read and has a good relationship with both schools. We also had a teaching session on how to cope with bereavement to which a local school teacher was invited. She later found it was a great help in ministering to a young girl who had lost her brother.
